honor to serve you in various capacities.
You have requested that I have a Blog to address some of the “erroneous”
information that has been purposely distributed throughout our community, and
you have asked for responses to same. I
HEARD YOU LOUD AND CLEAR PLAINFIELD…HERE IT IS!

DOES Councilwoman REBECCA WILLIAMS DESERVE OUR SUPPORT? NO!
Plainfield, as you are
aware, I am a very positive, friendly woman who is known for my
professionalism, kind words, embracing, hugging and working for the benefit of
others. When a few uninformed people
chose to speak negatively about me, I genuinely let the nonsense just roll over
my shoulder and fall into the gutter with the rest of the stuff. But when folks want to talk about people who
work hard or when folks want to cross the line with their lies and nonsense, I
have been left with no other alternative but to do what you have
requested…respond.
Unfortunately, we all
know at least one female who loves to lie. Over the years, she has told so many
lies on different people that she is actually starting to believe them! Word on the street is that she has a
“sickness’ and requires “counseling”! Quite naturally, we want her to be cured, and
we want to be kind, but this excessive lying has to stop. She has ruined her reputation and no one can
trust her. Someone suggested that the person who constantly lies should be given a
nickname, so instead of calling the city liar “Councilwoman Rebecca Williams”,
many want to simply refer to her as “Cousin Becky”.
“Cousin Becky”.has
disrespected many of us who represent our voting community…our Veterans, our Senior
Citizens, our Religious Leaders, our Youth, our Elected Officials, our Community
Leaders, our United States of America Flag, our Employees and now our well
respected National Organization, the NAACP!
How appalling! This behavior coming from someone who teaches our youth
at Essex County College. Plainfield, you
have witnessed first hand, of “Cousin Becky’s” rude behavior at City Council Meetings,
which are AIRED and people outside of the city have viewed this and they laugh
at us because they cannot believe that people actually voted for “Cousin
Becky”. Please, let’s not continue to
have “Cousin Becky” make us a laughable community of Union County. We deserve to be taken seriously. We deserve to have representation from our
elected officials who demand respect for our residents and stakeholders. “Cousin
Becky”, it’s been said, should forget about politics and take some sensitivity
classes, and learn how to respectfully relate to people.
Who will be next on her
hit list? Is there anyone left for her
to offend? Her behavior has been vile, supportive
of bullying, unethical, non-supportive of community, full of constant lies,
un-American, non-productive, obstructionist, she thinks that she is better than
some of us (she has been heard referring to some of our residents as “those
poor people who live in that section”), abusive of your past support and has
been anti many things which are good for our community. Cousin Becky enjoys throwing mud, telling
lies, then running to various levels of authority to hide behind her false complaints. Wake up Cousin Becky! This community of Plainfield has spoken at
City Council Meetings and other meetings; they don’t like your style of
leadership.
Just as many of you, I
take my time to review a situation and make decisions based on facts and
reality. Public opinion says that Cousin
Becky does NOT deserve our support. In fact, it has been vehemently said, over
and over again, that her little political fire needs to be extinguished because
we are simply unimpressed and absolutely tired of her lies and her
misrepresentation of the good people of Plainfield. She is a large part of the
problem which together, we must fix on June 3rd!
About her recent posts,
she has written very negatively and provided erroneous information AGAIN about
Assemblyman Jerry Green, Mr. Peter Briggs, the NAACP and me. I will address her comments in that
order.
With regard to
Assemblyman Jerry Green, this gentleman holds several very powerful elected titles
of which should be respected. We voted for him, and he represents us.
Many of you will clearly
remember that on several occasions at the Regular Democratic Party
Headquarters, Cousin Becky could often be seen kissing up to Assemblyman Green
in her fake candy voice to try and gain his favor. She supported his bid for re-election at City
Committee Meetings. In fact, some
Regular Democrats were amazed and spoke about the syrup suddenly dripping from Cousin
Becky’s lips when she spoke of our Local/County Chairman, Assemblyman
Green. Why is she now so angry and full
of hatred? Could it be that since he has chosen NOT to support her madness and
to support a much better candidate for our 2nd and 3rd Wards At Large Council
Seat, Mr. Charles Eke, she has resorted to her usual mantra of name calling and
telling lies.
How can the people of
Plainfield ever trust Cousin Becky when she continues to flip flop, depending
on whether the wind blows in her direction. How selfish! Why isn’t she being a valued member of the
REGULAR Democratic Party; working for our benefit and working to unite people? After all, she has no problem spending money
raised by the Regular Democratic Party. Oh yes, I remember now, Cousin Becky
can’t act like a Regular Democrat because she is the President of the organization that caused the rift and split in our
beloved Democratic Party. She is the President of a group who says that
they are not members of the Regular Democratic Party. They call themselves “New Democrats”. Many
wonder whether this is a real political party or a club. Call the County Clerk’s Office and inquire. Attention
long time and newly registered members of the Regular Democratic Party, please
accept Cousin Becky for who she admits to be…a non-Regular Democrat. Therefore, she does not deserve our support. Don’t
give her financial support. Don’t vote
for her. Stop taking pictures with her
that she uses for political reasons without your authorization. Don’t be fooled…By being a New
Democrat, she is letting all of us know upfront that she will not and does not
support the Regular Democrats, so the smart thing to do is to vote for someone
on June 3rd who supports us, our families, friends and
neighbors. Cast your vote for our real
Regular Democrat, Mr. Charles Eke for the 2nd and 3rd
Wards At Large Council Seat. I am sure that there are probably a lot of
wonderful, professional residents who have decided to join The New Democrats,
unfortunately Cousin Becky’s reckless behavior which is so full of hatred makes
community members have a negative opinion of this social group. This is
probably unfair to some, as no one wants to be spoken about negatively. Any New Democrats who may be feeling
uncomfortable should address this with their social club leader, Cousin Becky,
as exactly what is her goal? Breeding
anger, nastiness, unfairness…how can she be trusted around our youth or anyone
else for that matter?
Those of us, who reside
in the 3rd Ward have a double opportunity and responsibility to
support the local Regular Democrats in the 3rd Ward. We should also vote for Rev. Gloria Taylor to
continue as our 3rd Ward Councilwoman. In fact, Regular Democrats, my supporters and
those who are undecided should come out on Tuesday, June 3rd,
Primary Day, and vote for all of the candidates in Column A. You would be supporting people with a proven
track record of supporting you. Thank
you to all of the candidates for running.
Community members have asked what volunteerism has been done by Cousin Becky and her slate mates, unfortunately, no one could think of anything to report. Regarding the things that Cousin Becky has written
and said about Assemblyman Green, I am very confident that he and his legal
beagles are busy reviewing right now.
Will Cousin Becky finally receive what she deserves…maybe a law suit? We are all anxiously anticipating!
